A Vela Unvelum is a design driven architecture and interior design practice based in Sydney Australia. The practice explores phenomenologically inspired architectural ideas with a focus on developing an architecture that elevates the human experience and encourages a relationship between people, the built environment and the natural world.
Our architecture strives to be sculptural and endearing, beautifully assembled and enriched with tactility and texture.
The practice is led by Rosenell Serrano and Cristina Lupica. Together they share decades of industry experience that allows them to offer a unique design sensibility to each architecture and interior project.
Rosenell Serrano has obtained a Bachelor of Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture degree from The University of New South Wales. Rosenell is a registered architect in New South Wales and has an extensive background in construction to which he is accredited with a Certificate IV in Building and Construction by The Housing Industry Association. The combination of Rosenell's training in architecture and his on-site experience in construction provides the practice with the capability to not only design bespoke buildings but to also examine the effectiveness and buildability of each project.
Cristina Lupica graduated from the interior program at Design Centre Enmore in Sydney, obtaining an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design and a Diploma in Interior Decoration. Cristina’s unique approach to design is honed from years of experience working on high end homes within Sydney’s most prominent suburbs. Combined with an enriched understanding of materiality and an appreciation of the finer detail, Cristina procures each interior project with a finesse that creates highly conceptual, functional and exquisitely crafted spaces.
A Vela Unvelum work on various architectural typologies and scales and focuses on residential architecture and interiors. We have a holistic approach to design where the architecture, the interior and the landscape are considered from the outset. Our process is inclusive, collaborative and explorative. We offer a range of architectural and interior design services including concept and masterplan design, sketch and schematic design, design documentation, design development and detailing, tender and construction documentation and design consultancy throughout construction.
