A design competition entry for a major community recreation and aquatic precinct in Green Square, Sydney, NSW.

Responding to the City of Sydney's vision for Gunyama Park and the Green Square Aquatic Centre, our proposal synthesises world-leading sustainability with an expressive, highly functional civic hub. Centred around a sweeping, warm timber-lined canopy and floating curvilinear roof forms, the design seamlessly integrates indoor pool halls, gym facilities, and outdoor aquatic spaces with a multi-purpose sports field and parkland.

A sculptural terraced landscape surrounds an outdoor 50m pool with integrated grandstand seating, while dynamic red circulation towers, elevated skywalks, and sweeping pedestrian ramps foster fluid movement across the entire site. Through high-performance glazing, natural timber accents, and rich subtropical plantings, the design creates a joyful, light-filled, and universally accessible sanctuary - establishing an iconic, community-focused gateway for Green Square.
